The Only Two Coats I'll Be Wearing This Autumn/Winter.

I've worn the same coats for the past few winter's now, and even though I still very much love them, I thought it was time to make a few new purchases for my wardrobe.

Everyone has been wearing the aviator/biker jacket this season, and I absolutely love the look. However, as much as I wish I could just got on Net-A-Porter and buy the Acne shearling biker, my bank account thinks otherwise. Therefore I've been on the hunt for the perfect one since Autumn kicked in.

So many places are selling them right now on the high street and there were a few I liked. The Topshop biker is nice, but the shearling was a bit scratchy, and I felt the leather looked a bit cheap for the price it was.

I also really love the selection Zara have at the moment. There is the classic black biker, as well as a gorgeous aviator jacket. They are both incredibly soft and cosy, but I just felt like the shape was unflattering on me.

So the search continued.

I was then in Warehouse and saw this oversized biker jacket. I gave it a try, and it was love at first sight. The shape is perfect, I love the buckle details, and it the most snuggly coat I have ever owned. Plus I got it for 20% off - It was meant to be!

I wanted to go for the slightly oversized look so got it in a size up, and it's perfect. It keeps me warm with a thin layer underneath, but can still fit a thick jumper under too for when the winter really kicks in.

Now for coat #2.

For years now, I've wanted a camel coat. Although in a dream world, I'd be writing about the Stella McCartney Bryce coat, much like with the biker, that remains very much a dream, so I was on the hunt for a high street alternative.

Topshop is one of my go-to places for a good coat, so that's where I headed, and found what I wanted straight away in their 'Millie Relaxed Coat'. A lot of people have been wearing this coat so it might look familiar, but it is perfect and exactly what I've been looking for.

It's true to size, smartens up any outfit and also has this pop of red and navy on the collar and inside the cuffs, making my usual rather boring winter wardrobe so much more exciting.

I've already got so much wear out of these coats, and I know I will have these classic pieces in my wardrobe for many more seasons to come.
