My Face Mask Collection: Part 1

I love a face mask. I’m not someone who can be bothered for an elaborate skincare routine every day, so putting on a face mask a few times a week is one of my favourite ways to look after my skin. They take seconds to apply, and you can get on with things whilst they do all the work.

Over the past few years, I’ve tried and tested loads, acquiring quite the collection. So I thought I’d share my favourites over a few posts.

First up is my all-time favourite face mask. One of my holy grail skincare products. The Origins Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask, does exactly what it says on the tin. I put it on for about 10 mins when my skin is particularly bad, and it completely dries up any blemishes; within a day it’s cleared up. I wouldn’t recommend it if you don’t have problems with spots, but if you do it is definitely worth the price.

The Origins Original Skin Retexturing Mask with Rose Clay mask is one of my most used masks. I feel an instant difference as soon as I take it off. It has a gritty texture to it, which is great for smoothing out your skin, as well as a deep clean too, leaving an instant glow. It also smells amazing, which is also never a bad thing. However, it is Origins, so does come with a bit of a price tag.

The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Mask is one of the masks that has been in my collection the longest. It takes a while to dry, so isn’t a quick fix, however, keep it on for an hour, and your skin will feel like you’ve had a mud treatment at a spa.
Charlotte Tilbury can do know wrong when it comes to her makeup. However, I find with her skincare products, it can be a bit of a hit or miss for me. The Goddess Skin Clay Mask however, is definitely a huge hit. It claims to lift, smooth, and tighten pores for baby-like skin. I have big pores, and don't find it helps with that, however, it definitely makes your skin super smooth, and I can feel a noticeable lift too. There are other, more affordable face masks which are comparable, but if you can afford it, I would absolutely recommend it.
This mask is a little different to the ones I've previously mentioned. The Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask is much more like a moisturiser in consistency. However, if you apply a thick layer before you go to sleep, when you wake up you’re skin will feel incredible. It’ll feel soft, and so hydrated. However, I like to use it most when I'm on airplanes. My skin always suffers after a long flight, and completely dries out. This mask is my saviour on flights; a definite must have. It also smells amazing too, which is always a bonus.
