Eyelash Curlers... Are They Worth the Hype?

I have never been someone who has bought into the whole eyelash curler thing. I always knew some people swear by them, but I never got what the fuss is about to be honest.

The only eyelash curlers I've ever had are a very plastic pair from Primark that cost less than £5. I'm someone who loves makeup and spending time putting it on, however I love no makeup days almost as much as makeup days. I'm usually more than happy to leave the house bare faced, however, a little extra help is always massively appreciated.

So, on a bit of a whim, I popped into Selfridges and purchased a pair of the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers and haven't looked back since.

I am now one of those people who swears by them.

I went on holiday over the summer and normally sitting by the pool in a bikini and no makeup fills me we anxiety, but my new purchase honestly made the makeup issue non existent.

A couple of pumps from the eyelash curlers, set in place with my trusty clear mascara created the perfect no makeup look, without actually using any makeup.

They really do brighten your eyes and make you look more awake. It's amazing. However what I have learnt from this is that it's definitely worth investing in a good pair because the cheapies are no good. I hear the Charlotte Tilbury curlers are also very good, and are slightly less expensive at £18, whereas the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers are £20.

Buy them here.
