Album Review: Sam Smith 'In The Lonely Hour'

I purchased this album a few weeks ago after finding myself loving more and more songs off it everyday. Buying this album was one of the best decisions I've made.

I have completely fallen for his dreamy, angelic voice. This album calms me when i'm cross, lifts me when i'm down, reassures me when i'm insecure and gets me singing along when i'm happy - every box is ticked.

I recently turned my love into infatuation after his glorious performance at the 2014 VMA's, which was simply stunning. I shan't bore you with the ever ending reasons as to why it was the most georgeous this I have ever experienced, because I talked all about it in a recent 'Song Of The Day', so head over there if you want to see what i'm going on about.

The album feels like a story as each song flows into another track after track. It is also very enchanting at times. There is a great mixture of up beat and slow songs which I feel always stops an album from sounding to monotonous and dare I say boring.

As ever I have selected my favourite songs off the album...
Make it To Me
Like I Can
Latch (acoustic)
I Know I'm Not The Only One
Good Thing
Lay Me Down
