TV Addiction: The Following

I've been desperate to talk about 'The Following' for a long time now, but I also wanted to wait until the current series ended (in the UK) because I am pretty sure I am going to make some bold statements in this post, so I thought I should see how it finished first.

Now, where to begin? Ready for bold statement number 1? I think it is safe to say The Following is my favourite TV show ever (at least top 5). I just want to scream every time I think about it. Is that weird? Maybe just sad. I just can't believe the series is over and I could have to wait nearly a year for the next series.

I don't want to give too much away if you are new to the show, but my goodness it's good. I want to point out my three favourite people in it.
Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) obviously. He is the ultimate cool, rebellious, heroic agent on TV. What's not to love? Everybody wants to be as cool as Ryan Hardy.
Next is Mike (Shawn Ashmore). I didn't think too much about him during series 1, but series 2 I kinda fell in love. I spent the whole series either feeling really sorry for him or rooting for him to get together with Max. He is such a great character who I hope plays a big part in series 3.
My third and possibly number 1 favourite... Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) - DUH! Obviously he is a great villain blah blah blah, but that's not why I like him. I actually think he is really cool. Not when he is slaughtering human beings (that is super gross), it is his humor I really love. It's very British. He is very sarcastic and witty when trying to mess with people's heads and it is brilliant.

I don't want to make this post too long as all I really wanted to do was gush about my love for a fictional serial killer (I promise i'm not crazy, just a bit weird) and also just simply persuade you to watch it.
Bring on series 3!!!
